Last week The Supreme Administrative Court dissolved the executive board of Egypt Football Association EFA.

The Court decision was final and cannot be appealed, although the decision seems out of the blue but the case dates back to a lawsuit filed in 2013 by the president of the second division football team Bani Ebeid, Hermas Radwan, challenging the integrity of the voting process in the association’s 2012 elections.

In January 2013, the court has rejected the suit Filed by the claimants but they did not give in and appealed the judgement which lead to the dissolution that took place.

The management of the EFA will be taken care of by a temporary council until the elections to choose a new board is held in its regular time in September 2016.
